1. Significance of Mangla Aarti
Mangla Aarti is the most powerful and divine ritual in Kashi. While the city sleeps, temple archakas chant Vedic hymns to wake Lord Shiva. The damru sounds resonate through the corridor, and the golden Jyotirlinga is bathed with panchamrit and adorned with fresh Bilva leaves and bhasma. Sitting just a few feet away from the Jyotirlinga inside the sanctum is a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience.
2. Important Rules & ID Requirements
- Original ID Mandatory: The original physical ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) matching the ticket name must be presented at Gate 2. Photocopies or phone screenshots are not accepted.
- Strict No-Electronics Policy: Leave mobile phones, smartwatches, and car keys at your hotel or in the Gate 2 digital locker. No electronics are allowed inside.
- Hotels Near Temple: Because you must reach Gate 2 by 02:15 AM when autos and cabs do not run freely, we recommend staying in hotels located within walking distance in Godowlia or Chowk.
